I have not had this issue with cygwin under XP.
User mounts (mount/umount -u) work just fine for me on Vista.
Are system mounts supposed to be unmutable? If so, oh. If not, is there
a work-around, or what have I done wrongly?

When following two commands are executed in a bash script
umount -c
C:/cygwin/home/me/experiment/bin/umount -A
the second command fails with the error:

Attached is a patch to mkshortcut in the cygutils package that adds
a commandline option for specifying how the new window for the launched
application should be appear - normal, minimized or maximized.

I'd like to install cygwin on a usb flash drive so that I can plug the drive
into any windows box and have cygwin available to me. The question is: will
this work? My concern is not having registry keys in place on machines into
which I plug in the flash drive. Will that be a problem?
