Previously, this was in coreu
I'm new to this list, this is my first message; I subscribed less than
an hour ago. Please be gentle if I break etiquette.
I've tried the following in mintty and in putty, and it happens in both:
First, launch cat or grep or similar.
Type a line with some tabs in it.
Try to backspace them away.
Launch cmdline programs with hidden console via run.
Notes:
The maintainer of run, Charles Wilson, can currently not be reached. We
hope he is well and just busy with other things. I have taken over
maintenance temporarily.
Changes:
1.3.2-1 (bugfix release)

See http://lftp.yar.ru/list.html, or gmane.network.lftp.user on gmane
Reran setup on a XP machine this afternoon (Base only) and when I bring up a
cygwin term I see this:
/etc/profile: line 136: /usr/bin/hostname: No such file or directory
Previously:
$ which hostname
/usr/bin/hostname
Today:
$ which hostname

Im running lftp (4.4.4) under cygwin on my Windows 8 machine. Ive created
an lftptest directory on my server with two subdirs, dir1 and dir2, with a
file in each. No matter what I try, I can't exclude "dir1" with an lftp
script that contains this exclude I get the directory and all of the

Can run-1.3.0-1 be added back into the Setup as an alternate choice until 'run'
can be fixed?
You should be able to get run-1.3.0 from the Cygwin Time Machine [1].
Based on the file timestamps of various versions of 'run', try dates in
the range August 20
