Aloha, I'm looking for a good way to determine the software packages installed on a machine. We're hoping to do this remotely on a network of clients by mounting a client's drive and rummaging around. Is there an easy/reliable way to do this with Cygwin? Thanks! Richard -- Unsubscribe info:

Well maybe I can slip this message in. The shortened form of my blocked message is that I installed the latest snapshot on my PC but it did not fix the "bash and CSRSS consuming 100% of CPU" problem. Any other suggestions? I'm happy to give more information concerning exactly what I did. That's

Hi, When downloading postscript files I am trying to use the cygwin ghostview (gv.exe) instead of the window one. Under Internet Explorer I was able to do it by telling IE to use the cygwin gv to open .ps files. I do, however, have two problems: 1) When I open a ps file I always get an empty win

fetchmail 6.3.1-1 problem

I recently updated fetchmail 6.3.1-1 from 6.2.5-2. I now get an error when it connects to one of my mail servers. Using "fetchamil -v" I noticed a difference in the output that indicates the likely problem. 6.3.1-1 give this message when the connection fails: fetchmail: 6.3.1 querying mail.**
