A little more about $CYGROOT. It also makes the cygwin.bat file used by
default to start bash more flexible. We can do something lik

Hello,
I am working on porting an imake-based build system from Red Hat 8.0 Linux
to Windows XP using Cygwin 1.3.22, along with ClearCase 5 for Windows (we
use ClearCase 5 on Linux).
I was wondering if there is a known problem with the bash shell in Cygwin

Hi all,
Forgive me if I have missed something blindingly obvious,
but I cannot find a CVS tag to correlate
to the 1.3.22-1 release of cygwin1.dll. I see one for
cygwin-1-3-19-1 on some winsup/cygwin files.

I dug into the permissions problem a little further and I determined that

It does nt work at all..Like...it refuses to download the list of mirrors;
if I install from a local disk, it shows hardly any packages in the

When it attempts to install something, what it usually install is just the
directories.

binaries under Cygwin and go a client to work. I need some getting Apache
with the mod_php and mod_auth_mysql installed. The cygwin setup didn't
appear to do it. Starting httpd I get the following:
