Hi, I installed the cygwin distribution (February 14) on Windows XP and am having trouble with spaces my home directory "/cygwin/c/Documents and Settings/largy". For example, when I run the command "startx" at the bash prompt I get: [: and: unknown operand [: and: unknown operand export: Setti

Tim, The "cygcheck" command can be used to print detailed information about all your installed Cygwin software ("cygcheck -s", "cygcheck --help", "man cygcheck"). The Cygwin DLL itself can be identified with "uname -a". Most of the executable programs in Cygwin will disclose their version when

Hi All... What is the easiest method to make the ssh-agent process survive logout on win-2k when using keychain? I thought about a sleeping process under cygrunsrv with the --noask option and then add the keys in my .profile If I kill the process and then launch it from ssh localhost it sticks

Hello, is there a way to completly disable access tho paths below /cygdrive ? i.e. to make /cygdrive/* invisible/inaccessible ? I have setup sshd on my machine and now some developer can ssh into my machine and help me with developing stuff under cygwin. He can do what he wants inside c:\cygwin -
