OK I didnt mean connecting in the socket API sense.erm but when bind
takes place an error is given. I specified 127.255.255.255 and even
INADDR_BROADCAST..still same error.

It should not link since this is part of a configure test for threads

My box is always connected to a lan so that shouldn't be a prob
And you will have to use cygpath extensively so that you pass the windows
types paths to the javac correctly.
