When you hover over the tabs, the lighter blue 'hover image' has a square
left side.
I believe the OP is trying to hide this.

I am running Mac OS 10.5.6 and looked at your tabs in Opera 9.63,
Safari 3.2.1 and Firefox 3.05. It looks great in all three browsers.
What browser are you seeing the problem in?
