i've been tinkering with other positioning options and even rearranging the
markup. but i'm not happy with the end result. i'm not giving up just yet.

Sorry to bother again, but the fix has caused another problem.
The links inside the banner now become unclickable. Both on FF and IE.
It's probably coz of the negative z-index :(

i think the problem was on my code.
