You might also need to put a width on you tags in your css. IE doesn't
know what to do with the width.

It appears to me that you may have to adjust the width of your div or
container that's holding your navigation. IE and Firefox/safari interpret
pixel differently. It's been my experience that IE pixels always take up
more space then in Firefox/Safari.
