Hello
I'm cloud engineer. I have tried to install crowbar on RHEL 6.4, but I have
some problems.
I have downloaded ISO - crowbar-hadoop-2.3_cloudera-os-build.2289.dev.iso and
have read https://github.com/crowbar/crowbar/wiki/Install-crowbar

Hi Rob – I'm writing to see if this news catches your eye?
Last week, a small team of developers and designers launched a Kickstarter
campaign to draw attention to a new open source, Flow-Based Programming
environment called NoFlo. I thought your Agile in the Clouds readers would be

Hello
In preparation for upgrading our physical servers from Essex to Grizzly,
I'm trying to test the crowbar 1.6 iso
(crowbar-mesa-1.6_openstack-os-build.3508.dev.iso) in a VirtualBox
environment to build an admin node and test a simple compute/storage
node config.
I've created a 1GB VM (cal
I see the Crowbar /releases folder on github has recently grown to
include mesa-1.6.1 and mesa-1.7 releases. Can anyone help me
understand where those fall on the roadmap, and what functionality is
targeted for them? We are going to be moving forward from an older
version shortly and I would like t
While John is on vacation, I have gone ahead and taken over wrangling the
Pebbles pull requests.

Hi
I'm interested in understanding what it would take to modify the raid
and or bios barclamps to change a raid configuration for some 720xd's so
we can support a pair of 300GB OS drives and 12 3TB data drives.
The current config can't use the OS drives and requires the 3TB drives
to be format
Well, it looks like the ML is alive again.
I am going over the pull request backlog while Uncle is on vacation, and you
should see a lot of merges in Pebbles going through. I will also be spamming
#crowbar on freenode as I test and merge individual commits.

Hello,
Unfortunately we couldn’t reproduce your problem. Looks like that was temporary
bug with github.
I commit fix to disable PFS by default.
Smoketests still in progress.

John-Paul,
This is common in a virtual box install. I'm don't know why the console is
unavailable. I ssh to the node and run the install script remotely
(/opt/dell/bin/install-crowbar admin.whatever.org)
I configure my vm admin node to have 8 Gig of mem, two processors, and 24 Gig
storage.

I think you wanted " ./install.sh admincrowbar.arexa.ru " , not
install-chef.sh

Hey Dirk,
An issue that we've been having is that the smoketest has been broken on the
pebbles branch. As a result, all pull requests were being tested by hand,
which drastically slowed things down (plus we had an all-hands team meeting all
last week). I've been working on fixing the smoke te

The installation script you would need to install the admin is under
/opt/dell/bin/install-crowbar - use as /opt/dell/bin/install-crowbar

What is the hardware you are installing on? Is the desired goal to set up the
OS on a RAID 1 array (using the two 300GB drives) and set up the 12 3TB drives
into a single RAID array or into individual RAID0 arrays? In your current
setup which RAID configuration was picked and did the
Raajeev,
Thanks for the feedback.
I'm looking to create a RAID1 (mirror) on the OS drives and 12 RAID 0
volumes of 3TB each on the 12 3TB drives.
Our target hardware is 12 Dell 720xd boxes. They are currently
configured without the 2 OS drives in use and with the 12 3TB drives
configured as
I echo this request. We currently have 20 R720xd, similar arrangement (2 x 300
GB SAS 15k and 24x 2 TB). We'd like the barclamp to handle setting up the
2x300GB SAS as a mirror for the OS, and remaining 24 drives in RAID 0 volumes
for SWIFT to consume.
