2green did you enable "proposed updates" in the software update tool?
Because this bug is fixed in unity 5.12 and if you don't enable that
you're stuck with 5.10 until 5.12 goes pushed to the regular updates...
btw for me the bug is fixed...

Thanks for your reply Chauncellor...I'm sorry, it was me that had to mark this
bug as solved and as a duplicate of #880449. Infact I commented that bug,
helping an user to upgrade to unity 5.12, that is wher
Public bug reported:
How to reproduce:
1. open 3 programs;
2. iconize 2 of them;
3. apply show-desktop via ctrl-alt-d (twice, due to bug #878057), so the third
window iconizes as well;
4. unminimize one of the 2 windows as of point 2.
you'll see its top bar is unclickable, so you can't move it,

Strange thing...after applying the patch I have a problem with network
information applet...it opens the first time, then, if you close and
reopen it, it acts as in the attachment, or it opens, but refuses to
show...anyone is experiencing this issue?
** Attachment added: "Netinfo not showing.jpg"
Omer, yes, I've tried it 5 times, the sequence is: 1. opens fine, 2.
opens as in previously attached screenshot and you can close it from
unity's launcher. 3. opens but refuses to show; at this point it's
enough to logout and login and the sequence starts again.

I think I've found another one, Skype: it opens the first time, then you
close it and if you reopen it's not present neither it the top bar or in

In Oneiric it seems somehow solved, since "reopening" apps from the
indicator has been disabled...if you call the app (that is already open
and minimized) from the indicator, it simply makes the icon blink.

@Franck: I'm on oneiric, with fresh beta install fully updated...I can
confirm, if I minimize TB, and then call it back from menu indicator it

Wait, I checked again, I was partially wrong...the behaviour I reported
comes when a window is present on the desktop, fully or not
maximized...and Franck you are right, if the desktop is empty, calling
tb or banshee from their indicators calls them up full screen...and

Yes Frank, I know the steps, I've been following this bug for
months...in my machine it's not happening now, I've tried many

some other users...

Just a thought, off-topic, forgive me...but bugs like these make me
convince even more that a release every 6 months is TOO MUCH! Having 1
year between releases would let developers do things better, and make
users (especially new ones) happier...
