Super+S activates expo plugin even on a 1x1 setup

Same on 16.04.1, both updated and fresh netinstall.
Using default shortcuts (Super+Space|Shift+Super+Space) work fine, with any
custom shortcut compiz crashes.

After enabling hot corners with the Unity Tweak Tool -> Hotcorners ->
Select "Window Spread" for one corner, this change is temporary. After
rebooting, this feature works unreliably between reboots (that is,
sometimes it works and sometimes does not work). I have noticed that
