Anyone know why these tests have started failing? It happens for me locally
and it just happened in Jenkins:
https://builds.apache.org/job/PreCommit-HADOOP-Build/1288/
I don't see any obvious changes recently that would cause it.
Tests in error:
testCreateFile(org.apache.hadoop.fs.TestS3_LocalF

Code License and is available for download at no cost for development and
production use on general-purpose platforms."

Unless anyone knows why this should be "provided" (nothing else is),
I'll file a bug with the patch.

you'd like me to open a new issue and/or attach this patch to an
issue.
Thanks,

HADOOP-7276. I linked it to your GNU-ness issue (though I'm
guessing JIRA probably told you that already).
FYI, I just noticed that Hadoop "one button cluster install" is a goal
for the Ubuntu ARM Server release for 11.10
(https://blueprints.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+spec/server-o-arm-server/),
so expect a few more patches. ;-)

Still, I don't know why I'd be the first to hit this, so I thought I'd
ask. Let me know if I should file a bug.
Thanks,
Trevor
o
get Hadoop up and running without having to patch the build.
I'll follow up offline though, so I can better understand any concerns
you may still have.
Thanks,
