I think it might make sense to keep around a repository of third-party
open source native code that we use in Hadoop. Nothing fancy, just a
few .tar.gz files in a git repo that we manage. This would avoid
incidents like this in the future and ensure that we will be able to
build old verisons of H
As ATM and Steve have already commented, selinux isn't really
comparable to the existing Hadoop security framework. These are just
two things that have different functions. The Hadoop security
framework needs to deal with authenticating users over the network,
managing Kerberos and active directo
Just swept all the 2.7 blockers from the HDFS side. From the HDFS
prospective 2.7 should be good to go.
