Does not Spotlight need to index the volume before it can find anything? And
in System Preferences ▸ Spotlight, users can restrict Spotlight results.
Spotlight is nice when it works, but I wouldn't use it in any application where
it was
In my application, I use Spotlight at some point to find a number of images in
a directory tree the user selects.
Now, I have one user who reports that it is not finding anything (it should
turn up all the images).
The problem seems to have to do with the directory residing on an external
share
