If you would benefit from looser coupling between objects, consider
NSNotification and friends.

Regarding "there must be a reference to objA stored somewhere" I kinda figured
as much - BUT - was hoping there might be another way especially since there
are those OO purists that condemn the use of any sort of "globalness".
