I pre-oil the boards before shipping with a cutting board oil from
Amazon. I believe linseed oil and beeswax are good preservatives.
Mineral oil okay as long as it it food grade.
No matter what would is used, they should be oiled regularly to prevent
drying out and splitting.

Our 1st virtual zoom rendezvous was an absolute success. People that showed an
interest were sent a personal invitation to participate. Owners from the West
Coast, East Coast, Gulf of Mexico, New England and Canada participated.
Basically, it was a greet and meet and then an open discussion an
ahead of the westerners.
I think most people are in favour of a ‘greet and meet’ social event. So that
will probably be the agenda. Just remember to keep your social distancing.
