Danny,
I am assuming that you didn't forget to try adjusting the idle mixture
screw. (I forgot one year - duh!) Did it have any effect? It may also be
worth loosening the distributor and turning it back and forth 10 degrees or
so, though timing as very non-critical on the A4. Another thing to t
Steve,
Here is an old voice from your past . I have been following the
conversation with interest and will contribute my thoughts. I did have a #2
on my 27 Mk III. It wasn't one of North's better efforts. That said, I did
not find that there were many occasions where it was of benefit. Very
Mike you are welcome in Lions Head any time!

Here is a link to what used to be Phil's Foils in Ottawa. Looks like he has
rudder for C&C 35 (depending on which model 35). Probably less expensive
depending on whether he can reuse the inner skeleton. I have no personal
knowledge of quality.

That is just an opening bid. Seller has a hidden reserve price which has
not yet been met.
What it sells for, if it does sell on e-bay, will be higher than that
opening bid. Could be a great bargain or not depending on what the final bid
is and what the reserve is. If the reserve isn't met, ow
Rich,
You are correct. Reverse polarity will apply a massive forward current
through the diode bridge in the rectifier assembly. Usually the diodes melt
forming a short circuit. That can actually be a good thing because it may
protect other electronics by limiting the reverse voltage. Hope y

generate a bit of needed weather helm. That is all I can add.

I wish the still made that old version.
I would like to find a source for a new motor as I have heard the same tales
about the newer models. Do you know where?

I had a crew member who returned to school to work on a Masters degree and
eventually a Ph.D. He became president of the Graduate Students Association at
a local university.
I had an almost unlimited supply of ideal crew members.

Somewhere in your there is a high resistance. Maybe a bad crimp, corroded
connection, bad float switch? Even a faulty breaker. A few voltage
measurements with respect to the battery negative should show where the voltage
is being lost. Voltage cannot disappear, it is being dropped somewhere
Shawn,
Something like this looks like a cost effective way to measure occasionally. If
you want a permanent display, there are also waterproof diesel tachometers
using various sensors – Hall effect or alternator signals but they need you to
do some work mounting and perhaps calibrating for t
