Stus-List charger/inverter

I am looking to update my shore power charger and considering charger/inverter with lithium batt capabilities. There are lots of manufacturers out there. Can anyone provide reliable resources to review or recommendations? Thanks,

Heart, now Xantrex seems to dominate as far as I know. I have had one of each, worked fine. The older ones were not true Sine Wave, which meant that you had to run your microwave about twice as long as at the dock. I think they are all now true sine wave, at least that is what I would want. I think

FWIW, I went with Vitron with separate units for inverter and charger based on my electrician's recommendation. Joel On Fri, Nov 18, 2022 at 10:56 AM Bill Coleman via CnC-List < cnc-list@cnc-list.com> wrote: > Heart, now Xantrex seems to dominate as far as I know. > I have had one of each, worke

Pete, I have a newer Xantrex 2000W inverter/charger that I use on my Landfall 35. I have 2 type 31 lead acid house batteries. Because I’m on a mooring and run 12v refrigeration, I’m also using 2 100w solar panels mounted on the bimini. But with regards to the Xantrex inverter/charger, when we

Pete - when I researched this there were very few that had a lithium-specific output, however the AGM charge profile was recommended. (Lithium specific may not be necessary) This was useful because I could use my existing charger, which offers 3 charge profiles, but cannot simultaneously charg

Hi Chuck Will a 2000w inverter run a coffee machine such as Keurig which draws 600w? How is this on the batteries? Thanks Mike Hoyt Persistence Halifax, NS From: Novabraid via CnC-List Sent: November 18, 2022 12:07 PM To: 'Stus-List' Cc: csgilchr...@comcast.net Subject: Stus-List Re: charge

Mike, I haven’t found it to be a big issue, although I’m running the Keurig either at anchor or on a mooring and not while I’m running a whole lot of other devices such as radar/chartplotter. 12V Adler Barbour refrigerator adds somewhat to the battery draw. The toaster oven is a different sto

One consideration. If you are producing 1000 watts and you can only put a 500 watt load into from 2 sets of solar panels batts your daily power storage potential will be drastically impaired. To avoid lithium / agm mix issues I run separate chargers to the lithium house bank and agm start b

I use an old fashioned stove top percolator for coffee on Darlin. I use a Zero Water pitcher/ filter to remove any “tank” flavor from the water. It will deliver water with less than 5 ppm dissolved solids for a $35 investment. Works great! I am based in Seattle and appreciate good coffee. A

Like most, I think Victron makes great products but a bit pricey. I looked into getting one of their inverter/chargers when I upgraded my battery to a 560AH LiFePO4(LFP) battery. But instead I purchased a Renogy 2000W inverter/charger. I was cautious and motivated by the price. At the time

FWIW:  I have had 2 bad experiences with modern Xantrex TrueCharge II chargers.  One was 40 amps and I believe the second was 60 amps.  I finally replaced them with a ProMariner Pro Nautic P1260.  The charger has served me well in nearly every possible capacity.  That experience has left a bad t
