Agree with JP. Might be that some bugs have nested in the fuel tank vent fitting. Saw Mud Dauber Wasps do that on several boats at our boatyard. Remove the hose at the tank and blow through the hose and the thruhull vent fitting on the side of the hull. I found newer SS vent fittings with S

My fuel cap requires a winch handle to open it, however, the “star” shaped inset is badly worn, making it difficult to unscrew. It is OEM and 30+ years old (Perko brand), but I can’t find a suitable replacement. Anyone found one? Or, has anyone been able to refurbish theirs? Pete W. Siren Son

I replaced my OEM fuel deck fill with new one last year. I found a stainless model that was winch handle operated, and not too pricey, but it was not a direct replacment. You may do better, taking the cap to a metal fabricator and getting it retooled. The one I bought was actually smaller in
