I am back to working on the freshwater pump problem. I replaced the old pump
(unknown age) with the same model Jabsco ParMax 1 that had failed and now it is
pressurizing the system, so the old pump was definitely the problem. However,
the new pump will not shut off, even if left for extended t
I used to have problems in the spring upon first filling the tank. I could not
find any air leaks but the pump would start periodically. Eventually I
discovered it was air in the hot water tank. So I bleed it thoroughly through
the pressure release valve and that stops the problem.

Johnson, no problems.
I wondered if it could be a check valve, leaking back to the tank. Another
thing to look at is the orientation of the pump - make sure you follow
directions, I think the exit should be on top. you want to m
Did you liberally purge it? If it has any air in it, it will continue to
run. Run several gallons through it and then check it.
Barring that, the pressure switch may need adjusting.
