We bought our 1994 C&C 37/40+ four years ago, and when we got it the main
cover was in shreds, so we had a stack pack made, and went from there.
Yesterday, we were out in gusty winds that are a precurser to Tropical
Storm Eta sitting off Tampa for a few days.
As we took down the sail,
No to the used sail but if you want I can share the design aspects and
virtues of my new to me main.

I stripped it (them) off by hand using similar methods. I was able to remove
big chunks of the home port name, very carefully, with a very sharp razor.
My task was simpler, as I retained the name.
