I just replaced an old Westerbeke with a new/old stock Universal m3-20b. It
fires up with no problem, runs smoothly atnd spits what seems to be the
appropriate amount of water out of the exhaust, but I was testing it by idling
it about 800 rpm and after 20 minutes or so it overheats to 200 degr
Do we have a RaytMarine dealer on the list? I might possibly be looking
for a new wheel pilot.

I have a Gmail filter set to move any email with Stus-List in the subject
to a folder, but it doesn't seem to work now. It looks like the space after
"Stus-List" has disappeared. I changed it to just "Stus", I'll see if that
makes any difference.

Was the engine stored with coolant in it? Old coolant can and will plug up
the heat exchanger, among other things. A friend bought a boat that had sat
on the hard for 25 years, the engine had to be torn down, all seals
replaced and the heat exchanger rodded out.
