Feather into the breeze a little...but not enough to affect speed. Watch your
speedo. You will be fully powered up in that much breeze so your weather
telltales on the jib should be almost always lifting a little...or even a lot,
in the puffs.

I'm out cruising so I can't do the research to find a link to the info
but... If you google around enough you should find some info on a known
Yanmar 2GM20 issue involving the starter relay. IF this is your problem, it
won't be fixed without installing a second relay.

I set my mast rake at 10-12”, measured at boom level. I hoist my tool box on
the main halyard so it is just off the deck. It keeps the halyard straight and
steady. Measure from the aft side of the mast to the halyard. You can make
small adjustments by lengthening or shortening the forestay.
Also disconnect the wiring harness connector, clean the puns, coat with TefGel
or Boeshield T-8 and reconnect.

I am replacing my aging-but-serviceable Dodger and SS Frame with a full
enclosure. The Zippers have been replaced. The vinyl windows could be
restored with the right kit...I have the Aurora one that would go also if I can
find it.
If any LF38 owner is interested..it is yours for the taking.
Spencer -- What do you mean by a full enclosure? Do you mean hard
dodger, or just a new dodger designed to mate with a bimini and side
panels? I'm just curious, but wouldn't mind seeing pics when you're done.
PS. You are in Mt Prospect IL? I lived there as a child, at 121 N.

Coquina is on about the 4th or 5th depth finder with the 200 KHz transducer
that was installed the first time we hauled out after we bought her in 1977.

"Full Enclosure", to me, means 2X4's and gyproc. Maybe a couple of opening
sash windows, little doors by the winches so you can get full swing, a nice
little fireplace in the corner.

Yes, especially puns like:
Why is Molson Canadian beer like having sex on the beach?
It's f*cking near water.
So, ya replace the you and everything is O.K. :)
