I use a high quality climbing descender attached to the boom and a 3/4" line
attached to two quick release snap shackles on port and starboard. If you end
up jibing, the descender allows the boom to move over in a very controlled
manner almost in slow motion. This is basically a cheap version of

I need a new short 2QM15 diesel fuel line (part 17 on their diagram
attached) with a banjo fitting on one end (apparently ripped the hose while
pulling the engine last year). These have a press-fit brass female
connection. My regional Yanmar supplier (Toad, formerly Torresen) has these
backordered.
Check with Bay Shore Marine in Annapolis. I have walked in and bought many
uncommon 2QM15 parts from them. If they had it on hand and they wouldn't ship
it to you (because of Yanmar Dealer rules), let me know, I can get it and mail
it.

Nate – check with the guys at Barker’s. They stock some stuff, or may have

Hi all,
This may seem like a trivial question but I just took ownership of a 1974 33
three quarter tonner. Going through the boat for the first time I found that
there is no water tank but it seems like there was one at some time. There

That makes sense. Even just a 20 gallon tank would weigh in at close to
200lbs when full. I would think it would affect balance to have just one. I
will look again under the main cabin seating. The 33 three quarter tonner is

Congrats on the new boat!
Don't let a water tank keep you from cruising or sailing.
Water tanks need plumbing and a pump and periodic sterilizing and winterizing.
If the water source gets tainted, you'll get that in your tank. We've learned
to just use water bottles for cooking and drinking ($4
