Hi Bob,
I remember you from the Mystic Renzdevouz. I envy you being able to regularly
sail your 33 MII from the mooring at Mystic River, without needing the engine.
And so many choices for where to go for a day's sail.
You are right, the Atlantic City Boatshow is predominently smaller trailera
Hi Rick, I do have that locker up at the bow. It is pretty large and any water
that will end up in there will end up in the bilge. However, it will run
though the storage under the V-Birth to get there. I'm just not sure i want
that. I guess I could pipe a drain through there. I'd really ra

Rick Ooooh I'd love to see what that anchor carrier looks like! Yea I was
thinking of the wet anchor line coming in more than leaking from the
windlass... I've seen that roller from Holland Marine. It is on my
consideration list. I must admit, it seems quick and easy. I just felt he was

We used something from the marina store. I believe it is called x14. Toxic
stuff but it worked. I also used those strange cleaning sponges. They worked
but i had to keep going at it. I worked on it for a while and was happy it got
a lot of it out. Then would hit it again and get more. eve
Hi Danny,
Can your anchor locker be fitted with a proper drain overboard?
If the bottom of the locker is higher than the waterline, add a hose with nylon
thruhull fittings. Check other boats in your marina for ideas. Some boats drain
out through stem. Some boats have a clam shaped cover over th

I connected the screw top of a plastic bottle to a hose coming from the
anchor well. When screwed on the bottle the drainage water is stored in
an easily accessible location.
A valve on the hose just before it is connected to the bottle top
enables me to stop the flow from the drain hose if it
A product called "On and Off" works very well to remove rust stains on
fiberglass, but it's a combination of strong acids (phosphoric and
hydrochloric, I believe) so you need to be careful when using it and follow
the instructions. However, it will remove almost any stain from fiberglass.

My 30-1 has a bow locker with lid for anchor stuff. It has a drain which exits
the hull at the lowest part of the locker and directly through the bow. It has
a small aluminum cover to keep the junk out. I don't see any reason you could
not duplicate that arrangement.

Dennis, I'd like to see those pics! You should actually send them to the photo
