Thanks for the comments. There are some things I am definitely going to
check next time out. I don't have a strut, and the noise is random. I had
the prop overhauled in Dec. Not sure if the Max prop blades will stick. I
noticed yesterday that I am going to have to haul out for new bottom pa
Likely a failing cutlass bearing. I had the same type of thumping noise
when running the engine. Increases and decreases with the throttle input.

The other day while motoring at about 6.5kts we noticed an intermittent
thumping near the stern. It sounded like a crab float was bouncing off of
the hull. we slowed and the noise became quieter. Thinking there was
actually something thumping on the hull we came to a complete stop and even
