Yea, come on down, and I'll pay the first year's $5. But don't worry your

So does this mean that if I ever decide to get my boat out of Lake Superior and
head to Florida, I could avoid all the issues with transient vessels that have
out-of-state registrations by paying $5 for a Florida registration on my
35-year-old boat?

Joel,
Do what you like but as long as you have a 2014 sticker you are fine till
next year. "Re-registering" will just get you another sticker. I guess
for $10 bucks it doesn't really matter...except for principle.
And remember its the MD DNR that would have to stop you for it to matter.

Thanks all! I've emailed the Dept of Natural Resources. Looks like a form
and $10 for a sticker. The numbers on my bow are crooked, so I'll be glad
to get them off! In Maryland we do not have personal property tax to deal
with ith. They have other means of extracting $$!

In MD you will still have to pay an annual fee ~$10 for a state DNR
sticker. Since you have a current year sticker already you could probably
remove the numbers/letters now but I would wait until the renewal comes
up. On the renewal form there is a place to put the doc number in lew of
the state
