Edd, It doesn't get easier than a 37+ to replace the cable. Just lift the floor
panel, use a flashlight and a little mirror to see what is involved. It may
take you 1-2 hours the first time to feed the cables. Just imagine how much
more work it would be on a boat with the quadrant under the floo

Edd, They are 7 feet long and 7 feet will give you extra. If the kit you buy is
9 feet you can cut them off. I was in the North Channel when mine went in a

kind of Expensive and the chain never wears out. Last year I just spliced on

I am 99% that when I had to replace my cables I called Edson and told them the
model. They told me the length I needed. I had tried to guesstimate the length
prior to the call.

Anyone know offhand the length of steering cable I should use for a 37+?
