Sad news indeed. Ross was an enthusiastic sailor and contributor to the C&C
List. I was lucky enough to meet Ross and take him out sailing a couple of
times on his previous vacations to the west coast. A very fine fellow. We'll
miss him.

Ross sent Frank W. and me a message on Saturday thanking us...I suspected that
was a goodbye. I'm glad I answered quickly. As I said in my reply, I was
saddened that we hadn't sailed together more. A very nice man.

Sorry to hear this. Ross and I have the 24 so his comments were particularly
relevant to me. Last Fall I soloed up the coast and Ross offered to meet up
with me in Telegraph Harbour on Thetis where we spent an enjoyable hour or so
swapping ideas. He was going to lay up his boat for the winter so
Russ captured my thoughts and feelings well.
Good friends are hard to find and harder to lose.

Very sad news.
I've enjoyed Ross' contributions over the years and while I never met
him in person I appreciated his passion as well as his constant
willingness to help out with good advice - particularly on all things
C&C 24.
I'll miss his participation here.
Fair winds, Ross...
Cheers
Colin

It is with great sadness that I report today that earlier this morning, my
closest friend, and an avid contributor to this forum, passed away at his home
in Ladysmith BC after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer. If anyone wishes
to send a personal message to his wife, Bev, you may do so at
