Oh. Well I'm sorry to hear that. I guess you would have to go into bypass,
or you would lose your engine coolant and overheat!
It does indeed look like a new hot water tank is in your future.

The water heater was not used last summer. It was left bypassed. When hooked up
last week the pump did the nonstop thing. We put it back on bypass. But yes, if
left connected, antifreeze would find its way into tap water and or vise versa.

What is the proper way to split the hot coolant so that some goes to the hot
water heater and some to the engines heat exchanger. Any proportio
ad the issue since.

Something that sounds weird there. If your engine water is leaking in the
heat exchanger in your hot water tank, wouldn't you be getting antifreeze
in your domestic hot water? My domestic water pump sometimes runs
continuously as well, but I think I have determined I have a leak
somewhere, where it

I went with an Isotemp a couple of years ago. They come in various
configurations making them easy to fit in odd places and the installation was
straightforward.

I replaced mine with the same brand as the one that was on the boat. The
bottom was completely rusted out. The new ones have a plastic exterior.
It's a tight fit, so watch what you order if you get one online.

I think the engine coolant heat exchanger in the hot water heater is leaking
and would like to replace the unit. It heats fine on shore power. But the
pressure pump for the pressure water runs continuously unless I bypass the
engine hot water for the heater. So if I need a new unit, what s
