Bob, Yes, you are correct. Internet connectivity is the limiting factor in a system like this. The Cerbo that I recommend does lots more than monitor your bilge so there are other reasons to use such a device. For any kind of remote monitoring, you'll be tethered to an internet connection. On Tue

Len, I'm installing a Victron Cerbo GX. It can do everything you're asking and will transmit data remotely to the Victron VRM app/website. It needs an internet connection. Either wifi or hardwired. Victron also sells a GSM device with a SIM card (~$12/month) if you don't want to rely on marina wifi
