First, don't believe your tachometer. You said your engine idles at 1000 rpm. Your engine may actually be idling at a lower speed. I check and adjust my 25XPB tachometer with a laser tachometer. Second, adjust the idle at the engine, not the pedestal. You should find 2 cables on the side of th
