I upgraded my instruments on both Peregrine, my C&C 40, and Masquerade and have
been very glad I did. The quality and the amount of information on the new gear
available is terrific and considerable. I use my radar and AIS all the time.
On Peregrine, I used the old Raymarine instruments

I use my very old school radar, once, maybe twice a year. Needing a
chartplotter?...same. Have Garmin GPS to a repeater and an iPad and phone with
navigation software.
Have an opportunity to pick up a Raytheon L760 plotter and RL760 Radar for
peanuts.
