Alex, I have a T-track on the deck just aft of the upper shroud and inboard of the aft lower.  Below, the fasteners are hidden by a teak cover.  I drilled and tapped the backing plate to hold the fasteners for the cover. I use the track for a 95% jib that trims through the shrouds.   Should be
