Fred, I replaced the throttle and shift cables on my C&C 44 in 2016 after the shift cable broke. The Edson information I received with the boat suggested that I needed a 64 series (5/16" ends) gear shift cable and a 33 series throttle cable.(10-32 ends). I couldn't get Teleflex 64 series stuff so

Southshore still had some of the files last year, probably buried in deep storage somewhere. I asked him to dig out all he could find for the C&C 37/40 series and he found quite a few (almost 40 of them) and sold them to me. For anyone who has a 37/40 (or a 40' from 1993 to 1995) and is intereste

Might as well change the throttle cable too.not a hard task, but, as long as you have to dissemble the binnacle...These may be original cables...I did it on my LF38.  The cables ran up thru the ss binnacle supports.  Good luck!Spencer Johnson '84 LF38 "Alegria" #165Racine, WI / Mount Prospec

Just looked and the build file is for Hull #70 not #71.  It was delivered to Associated Yachts in Essex, Connecticut for a Dr. Pepkowitz in July 1971.  Order date was April 1971. Neil Schiller 1983 C&C 35-3, #028, "Grace" Crosswinds Marine, Whitehall, Michigan WLYC On 3/6/2019 8:58 AM, schille

Speaking of build files, if anyone knows who has C&C 35-1 Hull number 71, I have the build file for it.  I tried to get the build file for our Redwing 35 (Hull #7) way back when and was sent hull #71 instead.  If anyone wants it, let me know. I wish the build files were still available from So

Hi Fred, This is a weird co-incidence... I recently melted mine by accident against the exhaust pipe on my espar furnace. Melted the cable housing fusing it to the cable and making it pretty much useless. Please let me know where you source the new cable from and I'll order one too! For length, it

I can’t help you with the cable length since my boat is different but I can recommend replacing it with a twisted cable (like a wire stay) instead of a solid cable. Good luck! Bob Boyer s/v Rainy Days C&C Landfall 38 (Hull # 230) (Presently in Charleston SC for the winter) blog: dainyrays.blogs
