If you purchase a boat in Nova Scotia and the government finds out about it

Mark,
from what I know you have to license the boat in Canada (if you have more than
10 HP motor). Your Mirage 24, probably, did not (one of the reasons there are
so many motors with 9.9 HP). If your boat is not licensed (and not registered),
you can be fined $250.

Your information is correct. If you look closely, many (maybe most)
boats around here that meet Transport Canada's requirement to be are
either not registered/licensed and/or not displaying their numbers on
the bow. Guess it is not being enforced and not sure what the penalty
