Bill, there should be two snatch blocks on board; these clip to the toe rail;
it works very well!

Bill,
The early C&C's used the toe rail for the headsail sheets, there should
be a snatch block on a snap shackle that allows you to select any
position along the rail, then to the primary winch.

have a track that every boat I've owned did have. No fixed block either. How
should the boat be rigged?
