Had the exact same issue with crumbling insulation on nav lights on my 85’ 33ii.. Strongly recommend replacing it with new 2 conductor wire. Can be a real hassle getting the wire run through the pulpit to below decks. Mike Amirault C&C 33ii Lovely Cruise SMSC__
