Rather than sand, the old finish can be removed easily with a heat gun and a
putty knife. It doesn’t take a lot of heat to soften the finish and very little
pressure with the putty knife . I removed the ol
aggressive.

You will never get a perfect Hinckley finish on an old floor, but you will make
the floor very beautiful just by cleaning it up, adding protection and adding
some shine. Do the best with what you have. Sanding too far will go through the
holly veneer and divits can't be sanded out. But the

Starbrite brand sells teak cleaner and seperate brightener. Skip the cleaner
since you have sanded and go for brightener. It is basically oxalic acid,

Wood bleach. Use hot water. You only need a couple cups of water. Rinse and
repeat. Use a scotch pad to rub it in.
