What year are the cushion covers?
My 27 is a 1978 model year, and both the owners manual and the tags on the
cushion covers (those that are still legible) say dry clean only.

I took the covers off and had them dry cleaned - came up nice.
The foam inside has some pieces glued to the front edges to support under your
knees. Might come apart under washing!

I took the covers off of all of my cushions on the 32 and washed those in
the machine at home. I washed them with diluted bleach solution. They
cleaned up very nicely. For the foam I actually went a bit crazy and soaked
them one by one in a kiddy pool filled with bleach/water solution. Then I

Every few years I take the covers off and wash them. Also spray the foam to
reduce odor. Biggest issue is sometimes the zippers break during the
pull-off process and I take the piece over to the local shop to repair.
Someday I will replace the foam and covers, just not this day. Too man
Paul,
I don't think I would run them thru a washer,
I think if you want to try and save the fabric, it may be worth your
while to open them up, get the foam out and have them dry cleaned. You
may be able to salvage the foam but, I'd recommend at least try and
replace the foam, maybe have new
I'd hesitate to put 40 year old cushions in an industrial machine. They
are probably poly, so they won't shrink, but they could disintegrate.

You have 39-year old cushions and you want to clean them I wouln't be
surprised if they fall apart. Break out a couple boat bucks and buy new ones!

Hi Al,
This may be a bit late , but a few years I replaced all my interior cushions
(actually 10 years ago) .
I took photos of every cushion on the boat and put them in a word document
along with the measurements for each cushion .
I sent the document to every upholsterer I could find with an e-
ice, I can handle some imperfection. But it looks

We replaced all
We replaced all the cushions completely on our 35 when we bought her in
2006, the new cushions are 4" HD foam except for the V-berth cushions,
which have another 2" of memory foam on top. We used the best materials
throughout and had the job done by a pro. $4300 all in.

Sewed it all on an old Singer machine. My teenage daughter went to school
