Heads up: Depending on the head of your asym and dimensions of headsail and
asym furlers, a sprit may not be enough. IE you may need to extend the crane
at the top of the mast too.

I saw a sprit in our race this past Sunday. It was on a J42? and was
inserted into their second bow roller with a pin securing it and appeared
easily romovable. I was unsure how it secured aft of the pin, but as it was
essentially a lever, that portion would be pushing down on the deck and s
