Oh yeah I forgot. That pitting/flaking corrosion around fasteners is galvanic corrosion that occurs between the stainless steel fastener and the aluminum. After the corrosion is removed and repainted, use tef-gel to help minimize moisture intrusion and prevent more corrosion. Josh On Nov 29, 20

My machinist uses this stuff. http://moellermarine.com/product-category/marine-accessories/paint/ He uses the zinc primer paint as a base and then choose your top coat. I'd mask and choose a contrasting color. He did a bunch of stuff for me. I've not had any trouble and it looks great. Josh M
