I’ve gone through a lot of these myself. Check out memory-map and US&Canada (navionics) if you haven’t already. When I’ve done the longer trips now I use a Samsung galaxy tab 10” with a leather case jammed in on my companion way hatch. Screen is large enough to see and I have been using the

Check out MX Mariner. Very inexpensive and runs nicely on my Nexus 7. No AIS integration yet. Will the Nexus 5 have an AIS receiver? ;-) Nice integration with the free NOAA raster charts http://mxmariner.com/ Bob M Ox 33-1 Jax, FL On Wed, Sep 4, 2013 at 1:25 PM, Terry wrote: > Hello, I am

I recently got Plan2Nav. Haven't had the opportunity to use it too much, but I like the weather and wind downloads. Free App, but charts are something like 25 - 35, don't remember. Read the reviews. Sure get a lot more regions now than you used to 12 years ago for much more money. Bill Cole

The NOAA has a free chart app for android but their charts are only cover the US in detail. I use navionics on my iPad thanks to recommendations from this list. It served me well from Toronto to the thousand islands and back. I found it very accurate and it worked very well. Steve Suhana, C&C 32 T

Navionics has an Android app.  I've got the iPhone version.  It may lack a some of the features you want but it's a nice chart plotter with routes, tide info, marina phone numbers, etc. for $15US. They also have Navionics+ for iPhones.  It has bathymetric data.  May soon have Android version.

I'm using Marine Navigator on my Galaxy Nexus as a backup to my plotter. Last summer, I had no plotter, only the lite version of Marine navigator (plus the paper charts). I use BSB charts with it.   Pierre Tremblay Avalanche C&C38-3 WK De : Terry À : cnc-list
