This reminds me of when I had some bottom fairing done at a local yard.
The guy told me, in all seriousness, that when he finished, the boat would
be 1 to 2 knots faster. I don't use that yard anymore.

It takes some doing to get a 35 over 12 knots, so I am very impressed with 12
knots and no boom on a 30!

Maybe it only sails fast in wind over 12 knots. Not having a boom must cut
