I have noticed leaks of the antifreeze throughout last winter as well. (1st
winter with the new to me boat, Yanmar 3ym30, extended life antifreeze).
All was fine in the previous summer.
Some hoses carrying the antifreeze needed to be tightened up and the leaks
went away.

when you replaced the radiator cap, was it a 7 psi or 15 psi one?

was worn and allowing anti-freeze to escape when the engine heated up.
Replaced the radiator cap with a new one and it seems to have solved
that problem. I too had drain valves that would mysteriously open.

Sounds more probable than Rich's theory.might putting paper towel
around the area that might indicate if there is a leak. And it only
happens during the winter so the cold is obviously causing the
leakagejust exactly where.
