Joe, I did have a Red Dot unit installed in a previous boat that had a two speed fan. High, and Inferno were the settings. No thermostat! but it only ran when the engine was fully charging! It was mounted in the engine space and vented forward. One vent, but man it blew hot air like nobody’s

I don't think the thermostat has anything to do with raw water (salt water in my case). I guess it could be a couple of gallons or more in the system (intake, heat exchanger, and then wet muffler and exhaust) so you could pump several (even 5 gal) before you see it exit the exhaust. I will ne

I have the same HM35F with 3 blade prop max rpm's 2400 on unproven tachometer . I think I might be over propped but will dig into the issue further on next haul out I spend a lot of time @2000_2200 approaching 6kts (5.6_5.8 kt on boat speed and 6-6.2 kt on GPS). I might get 7 kt if I floored

I highly recommended Sure Marine. I have found many manufacturers are quick to push for you to purchase a whole new unit. My refer unit stopped working last week and the manufacturer suggested I ditch the old unit (2006)and join the new enlightenment of refrigeration. The folks at Sure Marine
