Hey guys,
The previous owner removed the fuel tank out of my 1989 37R because some of
it rusted through.
Would anyone have the dimensions for the tank so I can get a replacement?
Also, just to confirm, but I think the tank goes underneath the port bench
and about a foot or two into the area undern

Hi Rob,
Our '89 37R has Henderson MkV (two, one inside and one in the cockpit).
They are still available and so is the rebuild kit.

How do I tell the difference between checkstays and running backstays?
Would all four on the 37R be running backstays? Or are the lower two
possibly checkstays?

Question 2: This is my windex (see attached photo), and should the bars be

I have a couple more questions about the mast.
Question 1: Does anyone know what this cable is on my mast step (see
attached photo)? Does it help keep the mast down? And is it attached by
going straight up, or does it go around the mast?

When the running backs are not in use (because it would interfere with the
mainsail), where do they go? Do I just tie them to the base of the mast?

I also have a rope coming out of the mast about 3/4 of the way up. Would
that be just for a flag or anchor ball, or is it for hoisting another jib?

Hi Everyone,
We are currently trying to assemble the mast (My son Oden and myself), but
we are not exactly sure where everything goes and what everything is for,
lol. A lot was disassembled when the boat was trucked from Buffalo and we
are familiarizing ourselves with this rig.

Hi Everyone,
Is a replacement fuel tank something I would get custom made (looking to
get one in stainless)? Are there standard sizes or somewhere to order one
from?
My 37R is equipped with the Universal M35. The tank was located
below/behind the galley sink, I think it was approximately 20 gallo

Hi Everyone, I've purchased the 1988 37R 'Assailant' in Ontario and will be
using her as a cruiser instead of a racer. The 8'1" draw looks like it will
cause me some grief with the sailing I want to do along the St. Lawrence
River and onward. My plan is to shorten the keel. Does anyone have advice

I am purchasing the 37R. It has been dry for five years now in a
warehouse. There is a spot on the keel where it appears some lead is coming
through. The previous owner is very knowledgeable and handy and recommends
patching with some bondo, Any other opinions or suggestions?
