Nice to meet another LF 35 owner. I have the only one at our club, but there
are two LF 38s and approx 20 other C&Cs - some in the hands of the original
owners. The teak toe rails are not too big a job if they are kept up. I use
Cetol Natural Teak on them.

Thanks Pete
That is exactly what I was concerned about. Would love to see a pic of how
yours turned out.
To answer your question, I did the toe rails last year. Also all 17 stanchion
bases and the stern chocks. The white rub rail had also been painted and I
couldn't get it stripped well-enough
Has anyone had occasion to remove the bow assembly from a Landfall 35? PO
painted the one on my boat an unsightly brown (see photo at link below) and I
would like to remove it in the fall, have it sandblasted and powder coated.

I have one of these in Marine White. It's not bad for the price and can be
hung from the pulpit or boom.

These features on my Landfall 35 make it an easy (cruising) boat to sail
shorthanded:
1. Roller furling genoa with furling line to
cockpit .
2. Self tailing winches for genoa sheets in
cockpit.
3. Main halyard runs to cockpit.
4. Lazy jack system for main.
5. Traveller- main sheet im

stainless half oval. Now I have a substantial rub rail that is actually wider
than the tumblehome of the hull. Cost about $6k IIRC, but paid by the other
guys insurance and less than half the quote to replace the rub rail.

Thanks for the comments Bob - you may be correct, a liberal application of
elbow grease may be the best solution.___

Thanks for your comment Mr. Bryant. I think you are correct about the rub-rail
being part of the deck-hull joint. But I wonder if there is a cosmetic
solution - ie. installing a concave replacement over the existing one. Has
anyone tried anything like this?

Landfall 35 -
I am in the process of restoring an 81 Landfall 35. Systems are good, so am
wanting to do some cosmetic improvements.
The PO applied some sort of rusty brown paint to the white plastic rub rails.
(Also the cast aluminum stanchion bases and the bow roller, but that is another
question!)

Good evening
I've been lurking here for a while, waiting to take ownership of an 81 Landfall
35. She splashed on Saturday and the hand-off took place. She's now berthed at
the RKYC in Saint John,NB Canada. Plan to spend this season getting to know the
boat on the Saint John River and Bay of Fu
