It has some idiosyncrasies (nothing major) but being able to live life without
sewer plumbing in a boat is WELL worth it.

110 furler. For a lighthanded boat you'll be amazed at how much
easier it is to quickly tack.
Double check me on the race rules, there's a caveat regarding a furler.
Something about being stuck with the sail you chose at the start.

have my old sail re-cut or $1200 for a new sail. $600 for an old blown out

Hope that gives you some things to consider.

This one is for the (I think) two of you who race their Encounter.
We've had Wind Affair several years, but used her solely for cruising. During
that time, we've learned how to handle her tenderness but have always been over
powered with a 145 up front, even with a reefed main.

Tim, that’s exactly what we ended up with…after reading the tax office their
own handbook. They do so few of these at their office, they just weren't
familiar with the procedure.
All's well that ends well…temp registration in hand.

Was thinking of calling and adding coastwise anyway (thanks Paul).

Timely anecdote…
Just purchased a documented Pearson 424 (sorry guys) in FL. Applied for
transfer of doc the day after purchase.
Just got off the phone with my wife who is in FL trying to register it and the
dinghy. We can not register without the USCG document in our name, which

Great marina except for the no see ums. No tides, no extra liveaboard fees (but
doesn't look/feel like a trailer park), great hurricane hole, and right across
the river from the Canaveral locks for when you want to go outside. Bar food is
good and it's cheap.
Anyway, we're on E dock. We get down
Steve, off topic, but where in Merritt Island is your 36? Our "big boat" is in

Listers,
Hello, hello,
Hi Josh. Those hand rails look great!
We're looking at doing something similar on our 26.
Any pointers to working with White Water?
Thanks much.

Dan, ours was under the v-berth, port side. One of the first things we did was
remove it, the head, and the hoses. After a few good cleanings, the open pit
privy smell dissipated.
We sprung for an Airhead and don't have to mess with sewer plumbing on the boat.

Eric,
We cut ours out last week. It gives us better access to that "locker" (really
just open access to the engine compartment). It was easy. Trace around the
inside of the wood frame with a sharpie, remove the frame, cut the panel out
with a grinder, replace the frame.
